The Mt. Charleston fire was big news for Las Vegas. We were far enough that it didn't impact us like it did others. People were evacuated from homes, schools were used as shelters and firefighters worked around the clock. For us, the sunsets were unusual and beautiful.
I was really fascinated by the skies. This is just across the road from our house.
One side of the sky would be blue while
the other would be filled with smoke and flames.
It was a little nuts.
