Photo Ops

We realized that all seven children, spouses & grandchildren would all be in Idaho at the same time. That just doesn't happen. Under those circumstances, there is only one thing to do.

Now Let's Go to Idaho

Our arrival coincided with the London Olympic Games. We are fans of the Olympics so we had ourselves a little celebration. Our torch run went from Logan's house..

 by the cattle trailer

and into the backyard.
Also known as Olympic Stadium. Getting Macy to stay for a picture should be an Olympic event.
What can I say about British food? We tried to figure out something we'd like and ended up with a version of bangers and mash.
And a trifle:

We had some track and field events.

 Everyone gets a gold medal.

The Most Anticipated Event of the Summer...

Matt & I were crazy excited when we learned that Band of Horses was playing in Salt Lake. We love, love, love this band.

We may have been the only four people in the crowd of thousands not smoking pot.
The tickets were only $5 which I think made for a kind of lame (and by kind of lame I mean totally lame) crowd.  But the band sounded great and they love Salt Lake. All in all it was fun.

Max's Beach Day

Random thoughts pop up all the year long. But we look forward to joining with family each year to share memories of Max. It is a special time to talk about him and to be reminded of the blessing of eternal families.
What better way to celebrate a happy, fun loving kid then to spend the day together doing lots of fun things.

More fun in the Ocean.

In honor of the Olympics, Kelly organized some fun Olympic type games:

Even though we could have stayed all day, we needed to get back home and back to reality. We had a very memorable week during our 1600 mile California Adventure:

Ahh..the beach

It took us a little while, but we finally made it to the beach.
Zack doesn't get in very much.
He's more of a sand guy.
Once these two get in, it's hard to get them out.
